Matweld stainless steel 316L welding electrode is a rutile-coated, low-carbon rod designed for welding corrosion-resistant austenitic stainless steels including 18/8 Cr-Ni and 18/8/3 Cr-Ni-Mo grades. The electrode contains molybdenum for superior pitting corrosion resistance and stress corrosion cracking prevention, with controlled deltaferrite levels to minimise hot cracking. Ideal for fabrication, repair, and maintenance work in marine, chemical processing, food processing, and pharmaceutical applications where corrosion resistance is critical.
